Project Objectives
The project aims to develop an accessible, multilingual virtual community platform to support disability advocacy through the integration and dissemination of disability-related data. Built on Wikibase and powered by artificial intelligence tools—including Semantic Web technologies, machine learning, and natural language processing—the platform enables users to upload, semantically tag, and search disability documents using natural language queries.
Centered around the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), the system facilitates the creation of a flexible ontology that supports international and jurisdiction-specific policy data. By enabling structured, intelligent access to validated disability information, the platform empowers advocacy communities, researchers, and policymakers to uncover systemic discrimination and promote equity and rights for people with disabilities.
