Dr. Elham Dolatabadi is an Assistant Professor of Health Informatics at York University's School of Health Policy and Management, specializing in Machine Learning and Health Informatics. She is also a Faculty Affiliate at the Vector Institute for Artificial Intelligence.   

Dr. Dolatabadi's interdisciplinary research integrates health informatics and machine learning to tackle complex health challenges and reduce disparities. Her work focuses on three main areas: multimodal learning in health, health equity analysis using causal mechanisms, and ambient intelligence. She applies these approaches to various domains, including characterizing Post-COVID-19 Condition (PCC) in Canada, improving youth mental health, developing early warning systems for mental health crises, and ensuring the responsible development and deployment of clinical AI models.

Before her current role, Dr. Dolatabadi served as a Scientist and Health Lead at the Vector Institute, where she led several large-scale projects in collaboration with hospitals, government agencies, and industry partners across Ontario and Canada.
